The autumn of 2023 saw the birth of our first extra virgin olive oil, produced in limited quantities.
It was a success!
In 2024 we repeated it with an amazing oil. We called it Recondita Armonia.
Its fruity and pungent aroma has won the hearts of even the most expert tasters.

An environmentally friendly sacred plant
We approach the olive grove with respect, in the awareness that taking care of it means guaranteeing the prosperity of one of the plants with the greatest capacity to absorb the CO2 present in the air; but also capable of preventing the process of desertification of the soil, thanks to the organic matter that it is able to introduce into the subsoil.
Protecting an olive grove means renewing from year to year the ancient bond that unites us with this sacred plant.
The meadows that guard our olive trees
In the coming months we will dedicate particular attention to the best friend of olive trees, the lawn.
Which prevents erosive phenomena of the soil , protects its fertility and hinders its dehydration .
Choosing the right grasses, mowing at the right time, and leaving the cut grass to shade and compost the soil: this is our contribution .
Care and respect for the plant
Of all the interventions we will need to perform, pruning is perhaps the most delicate. But it is also the attention from which our friends benefit greatly! Shortening and thinning the branches means avoiding overloading the plant, strengthening it from year to year , helping light and air to circulate among its fruits. There are precise and graceful gestures in the hands of those expert farmers dedicated to pruning the olive groves.
As mother nature teaches us
The olive tree is a highly resilient plant, but it has to face some small enemies.
One of these is… the chemistry that serves to keep them away!
Being on the side of the well-being of the olive grove means using only natural products , which help us to always keep it in excellent health: we will fight the fly, with its own weapons!
Our olive trees will receive only natural products.
Will we be organic? Yes, of course, but not only that. More than organic .
We want to commit ourselves to developing more and more, every year, optimal fertilizers for the olive grove, which are made only with raw materials and processes that mother nature offers us.

The story of Livia and Oliver
Livia and Oliver like to spend time admiring the wonders of the valley which, below them, unfolds from north to south in all its splendor.
Every evening, their gaze lingers on the basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli: their distant ancestors were there, with Saint Francis, when he retired to pray in the Porziuncola. They remain admired at the sight of the Rocca Maggiore, which reflects the last rays of the sun before it sets behind the heights of Bevagna:
that’s where Livia and Oliver have home.
The next morning, at first light, their attention is drawn to the vineyards, glistening with dew, that make the hillside of superb Montefalco so elegant. And from the splendid Trevi, where they contemplate the cathedral of Sant’Emiliano appearing, all of a sudden, from the shadows of the night. Then again, as Mount Subasio gradually reveals to the sunlight the treasures that lie on its slopes, here is Foligno full of life, and Spello, the “village of flowers”.
The Umbrian Valley, what beauty!
Every day passes the same way. Livia and Oliver have no other commitments other than enjoying the uncontaminated air of the hills and the underground springs where the purest water flows. And grow healthy and robust.
Nothing happens in a hurry around them. Life follows rhythms that have been the same for millennia: ancient gestures, handed down through generations and kept in the memory of the local people. The land is fertilized with manure from horses and sheep that feed only on natural products.

Livia and Oliver are two olive trees: still young in their twenties, but already in full force. Oliver is a moraiolo: an unpretentious plant, a rustic cultivar like some farmers here, in the heart of Umbria. From those olives so firmly tied to its branches, one of the oils richest in polyphenols and oleic acid, and poorest in saturated fats, is extracted.
Right in front of him, a pendolino: it is Livia, with her much thicker hair and long disheveled branches. From its fruits a delicate oil is obtained, which when tasted reveals almond aromas and flavors – a delight for connoisseurs.

Even today, among the woods of Gea, rest the remains of the ancient monastery of Madonna del Monte: those who sought peace and those who sought themselves went there.
And even today, just as then, those who are preparing to come to us know that the hustle and bustle of modern life will remain off the paths which, winding through our olive trees, will lead to their luxury retreat, nestled between the majestic fig tree and the delightful lake of Gea.

From our farmhouse you can reach the splendid Bevagna in a few minutes, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, which every year, at the end of June, transforms into a medieval town pulsating with life… from times gone by, with its inhabitants, shopkeepers, the institutions, all involved in this beautiful game. And to take it very, very seriously!
But in half an hour, or even less, you will find yourself walking through the narrow streets of some of the jewels that the whole world envies us. Assisi, Spello, Trevi, Montefalco.
And if you have a few minutes to go a little further -but very few are enough-, Spoleto is waiting for you. And Todi, Perugia.
If, however, you are looking for ancient villages still unknown to most, you don’t need to go far: Deruta, Cannara, Torgiano, Bettona, Giano dell’Umbria… and if we tell you “Umbrian Venice”, have you understood which enchanted place we are referring to?

We have decided to write our intentions in the statute, black and white,

Eco-sustainability
We want to carry out agricultural activity with the utmost respect for the territory, the protection of biodiversity , also rediscovering ancient peasant traditions that are more respectful of the needs of the cultivated land; favor the use of self-produced natural fertilizers through the recycling of plant waste and fertilization of animal origin.
We want to invest in renewable energy sources, pursuing the objective of reducing energy consumption from fossil sources to zero.
Favor a transition towards buildings made with natural materials , typical of the territory and of the agricultural world, but obtained according to modern techniques and technologiesthat take into account the high seismicity of the Umbria region and the needs for energy saving, both at the time of production of the materials, both during their use.
Ethics
We aim to encourage short supply chain sales channels, with particular emphasis on direct sales to the final consumer and with the possibility of purchasing at 0 km.
And to place the kindness at the basis of every human relationship, as an antidote against every form of hatred and abuse, applying it daily both among all those who collaborate within the company, and towards customers, suppliers, public administrations, and anyone else who comes into contact with the company.
We recognize the importance of “giving people a chance,” and in the selection of employees in any capacity, no one will ever be excluded on the basis of gender, country of origin, religious, sexual, or political orientation, and priority will be given to underrepresented groups or those with greater difficulty in entering the workforce.

In Gea, we wish to promote the carrying out of activities that emphasize the values of spirituality, communion, solidarity , in an environment where nature is protected and safeguarded.
We aim to create educational events to make agriculture known and appreciated by new generations.
We want to contribute to the good health of everyone through movement and healthy eating , also through the organization of cycle-pedestrian itineraries in the greenery, and structures that allow sporting activities to be carried out in nature. And promote agricultural multifunctionality through the development of educational farms, horse-riding tourism, pet therapy and farming therapy projects .
